Our senior center/activity center is serving more people than ever and we need support from our community and its businesses, both small & large. When we host fundraisers there are a number of ways you can help. This year on Saturday, September 2nd, we will be hosting a “Grill Masters” BBQ contest in our upper parking lot & dining room. There will also be an indoor yard sale on the lower level of the building on this date. Tables will be available to rent during the yard sale for individuals wanting to sell their own items. The center will also need volunteers for the yard sale as well as for the BBQ contest/lunch.

Grill Master Contestants are encouraged to seek sponsorship from local businesses for meats and/or other supplies. Interested participants should contact the center regarding details. The center will be providing AYCE sides, coffee & ice tea. Donations to the center of canned beverages, chips/pretzels, corn on the cob, watermelon, and desserts are needed as well as paper products including napkins/towels, plates, bowls, plastic cups and utensils. The center is also seeking donations of prizes for BBQ contest winner(s), raffle and door prizes.

Currently we are raising funds for “Welcoming Doors”, to purchase & install new entry doors for better accessibility, security & safety. Our kitchen is also in need of a new commercial stand mixer and new walk-in freezer. As our facility is nearly 40 years old, many items are in need of repair or updating. We have been able to access grant funding for some of these large expenses yet we are still in need of donations to cover all of the costs associated with these projects. Volunteers and materials for projects are also greatly appreciated.

All donations/contributions are tax deductible, a receipt with our tax ID# will be provided.

If you have any questions regarding this or other fundraisers feel free to contact me at the phone number above.

Thank you for your support,
